Faze Finaly Speaks On The Feud Between Blackface And 2face

The third member of the defunct music group, Plantashun Boiz, has finally spoken on the feud between his former crew members, 2face, and Blackface. The singer has advised that both men should sit and talk things out like men. He even expressed his dislike for Blackface’s idea of taking the matter online. In an interview with HipTV Faze alone said:
“We are not Plantashun Boiz anymore. We are now Plantashun men. I think 2face has played his part by keeping quiet about the situation. But Blackface is really bitterly hurt. However, some things shouldn’t be taken to the media. I have told him. I speak to him on the phone. We argue about it all the time. I think he should cool down. I also think 2face should meet up with Blackface and iron things out. I’ve done my best to make things work out.”
“We even recorded a song together and were about putting it on air. Next two days, I saw 2face saying Blackface has written something online and I was like; what again? After the recording? I just want them to sit and talk. They can sort things out between themselves. Blackface should stop taking the issue online. It’s not necessary. He’s tarnishing his own name. I love him so much but I don’t like him going online. He should focus on his music and let things go.”

Ace Nigerian singer-songwriter, Innocent Ujah Idibia, better known by his stage name 2face Idibia, or 2Baba, in an interview with Soundcity 98.5 Radio, opened up about how and why he went back to the love of his life, Annie and how the love they share reflects on who he is.

When asked How and why he went back to Annie Idibia the 'Coded tinz' crooner said;

"Every reason. I was just deceiving myself that .. you know as man dey do sometimes. He go see wetin actually dey down but he go feel say make I see whether.. You know all that kind nonsense behaviour. But at one point in time, I was like look I'm not going to let this girl go. I just started realizing that this is who I want to be with.
This is actually who I want to spend the rest of my life with. This is the person that actually does it for me. So there is no need to deceive myself anymore. I come beg, them come gree."
On How Annie and the love they share reflects on who he is

"It (love) made me a more mature and better person. It made me understand that you know that there is so many things you have to work out together with people that you care about, It's not all bed of roses all the time, it's not all smooth.
There are sometimes that you disagree to agree and all that kind of stuff, But you just have to mature enough to work through these things. These things will come, challenges will come. You just have to put heads together and work through them."

Tuface Protest: No Going Back, Activists Say

The Conference of Nigeria’s Civil Right Activists and the United Action for Democracy have said there is no going back on the planned mass protests called by Nigeria’s hip hop icon, Innocent ‘Tuface’ Idibia, despite the police’s efforts to stop them.

The convener of the CNCRA, Ifeanyi Odili, told SUNDAY PUNCH that the protest was long overdue and no intimidation by the police would prevent Nigerians from protesting against the government of President Muhammadu Buhari concerning the economic hardship Nigerians are facing.

Speaking on the police’s call that the protest should be cancelled, Odili said, “The security agencies do not have such power under the constitution. Why should they stop it? Are they not part of us? Do they have special markets? If they want to be overzealous with their job, then we will tell them that we are not joking.”

Similarly, the UAD leader and human rights activist, Ebun-Olu Adegoruwa, pointed out that Nigerians do not require police advice to exercise their fundamental rights.

He added, “I have read in several news reports, of the statement credited to the Nigeria Police Force, advising that the mass rally against suffering and hunger in Nigeria, slated for Monday should be cancelled, purportedly in the interest of peace and security. The police have no power in law to countermand the lawful directives of the acting President (Yemi Osinbajo), which affirmed our constitutional right to assemble together freely, unhindered and unmolested, for a peaceful protest.

“So, it is disturbing, alarming and anachronistic, for an institution, such as the police, that was set up to be under the executive, headed by the president or the acting president, to be defying the lawful directives of the acting president, openly and with such brazen impunity.”

The activist vowed that the rally would be held and many more would still be organised. He urged Nigerians to join the Monday protest.

“The people of Nigeria shall hold this (Monday protest) and many more rallies, in the days ahead, until Nigeria is totally rid of bad governance,” Adegboruwa said.

Basketmouth Supports Tuface Cancellation Of Nationwide Protest - Nigerians React

Top Nigeria comedian, Basketmouth have jumped in defense of his follow entertainer 2Baba for the cancellation of the proposed Nationwide Protest which was scheduled to take place on the 6th of February 2017. Basketmouth said people should appreciate him (2Baba) for even voicing out that he wants to lead a protest rather than criticize him.

He said he (2Baba) is till better than millions of Nigerians who only complain of Nigeria situation on blogs and social media.

In Basketmouth's words:

basketmouth Before Tuface stepped out to air his views and speak for most Nigerians if not all, most people got so comfortable complaining about the state of Nigeria on blogs, their homes etc. Nobody made a move to do anything about anything. Whether he pulled it off or not....bottom line is that he took a step, unlike the people cursing him out even after he gave a very sensible reason to pull out.

At least now we know that the Govt is afraid of what can become of Nigeria if everyone comes together to speak in one voice, one heart to achieve one goal.
Big ups @official2baba

Charly Boy's Reaction To Cancelled 2face Protest

Read his piece below...

The Struggle to overcome Political Insanity, Audacious impunity and Mindless looting in Nigeria took a Negative hit last night not just because Tuface Idibia called off the 6th of February, 2017 Protest; because most of the demons we are Fighting against hijack the Peoples Protest and Anger at the Establishment.
We must not Trivialize the Struggle or We will Struggle to make any impact in the Emancipation of the Nigerian Mind. President Muhammadu Buhari is not the Problem of the Nigerian State and this is not excusing his Failures. The Nigeria Political Elite are Vampires Feeding off the Blood of a Willing and Docile Populace. They Loot Because we Hail; The Celebration of Ibori in Delta State Yesterday and Across the Country Typifies the Insanity of our Stupidity and eternal Problem of the Nigerian Struggling Populace.

Now we retreat to regroup and replan and we will lock hands to synchronise our objectives. For me, it is #ALUTAETERNAL, because If we no plan well things no go work well. No be everybody get that kin heart to stand tall when jungle mature. The real tsunami it's coming, and no doubt I will be on the front line. I will take the First Bullet; let my body be the first to drop; Let my Blood be the first to wash our LANDS.

Will the Nigeria youth back a Full Blooded Peaceful Political Mass Revolution at the Federal, State and Local Government Level? I doubt. But, I no go give up on my children, The Coalition of the Frustrated, Angry and Hungry, as well as this country that I love. We must sustain the pressure and cannot turn back as the Revolution Continues. We must begin to resist political insensitivity and mindless looting of our common wealth.
I, AreaFada will fight so fear will no longer cripple my people. Our MUMU don reach last bus-stop. And before we go start to chop sand sand, we go enter street and purge our lands of political dictatorship, oppression, poverty and corruption.
We must not walk/work alone or we will fail miserably. The Nigerian politician is our eternal enemy; The Nigerian people are the willing victim and it is time to channel our anger peacefully towards making governance work for us and not against us.

We must stop being the victims and become THE FEAR/THE MOB.
If our yeye Leaders no fear us, change no go come.
We Dey Prepare; We Dey Come to a Local Government, State House, State Assembly or an Arm of Federal Government Near You be cause #OurMumuDonDo

Lauretta Onochie Announces 2face's Cancellation Of Protest (Photo)

Did Tuface actually say those words?

How 2face’s Mum, Rose Idibia Forced Him To Cancel Nationwide Protest.

More revelations have emerged on the real reason music star, Innocent Ujah Idibia, otherwise known as 2face canceled his planned nationwide protest.

2baba shocked many of his fans when he took to his Instagram page to announced the cancellation of the much-talked about protest, citing security concerns.

However, findings by DAILY POST reporter revealed that his mother, Mrs. Rose Idibia was behind the cancellation of the protest.

The singer had announced few weeks ago that he would be leading other entertainers to a nationwide protest to draw the attention of the relevant authorities to the untold hardship the current administration has subjected the nation to.

Following the announcement, the federal government warned him to rather express his grievances via a national broadcast instead of organizing a protest at a time the security situation in the nation was unstable.

The Lagos State police command had also vowed to stop the protest, claiming that the singer never took permission from them.

An insider hinted this newspaper that 2face’s mum who doubles as Vice Principal at Cherryfield College, Jikwoyi Abuja warned his son to hands off the protest.

“His mum was behind the cancellation of the protest. She was angry because 2baba (Innocent) never asked for her opinion before he went on air to announce the protest. His mother summoned him and asked him to call it off because he has nothing to gain from it, rather he would buy enemies for himself,” a source said.

List Of Celebs To Boycott Tuface Idibia's Protest

Tuface Idibia may have the support of Nigerians for the planned anti-government protest but some of his colleagues in the entertainment industry will be boycotting the protest.

Some of the celebrities that will be boycotting the protest include:

1. Bovi - The Comedian wrote on Social network, “Boycott is too strong a word to describe my not attending. I won’t be there. Simple. It doesn’t define whether I support it or not. I am not joining the protest, and stop saying ‘we’ and ‘us.’ You don’t belong…..my life is not governed by your opinions of me."

2. Stella Damasus - The Nollywood actress believes that the protest is pointless. "That time I will use to protest and talk, I will use it to do something good for the people I can help. Before protesting anything, you have to have a clear focus,” she said.

3. Funke Adesiyan - For this beautiful actress turned politician, protesting solves nothing. She said "When people ask me why I joined politics, I tell them from the truest of my heart that it is because I got tired of how things were being done in my country. It’s not enough for us to protest, it’s more important for us, youths of this beloved nation, to get involved in governance. You could try many times before you achieve it.”

4. Blackface - Why didn't you lead a protest against these governors who mismanaged the Buhari bailout funds and the Paris Club refund money? Why did you not protest against GEJ's looting of N51 trillion naira and the Godswill Akpabio alleged looting of over N1 trillion naira from the Akwa Ibom state treasury for which he is being prosecuted by the EFCC? Why didn't you protest Akpabio's alleged corrupting of a Supreme Court justice who is currently being tried for corrupt practices on the bench? Is it because you are a corruption apologist?" he asked.

5. Femi Kuti - Though he has not clearly stated that he won't be marching, his words suggest that he's against the protest. "I hear say they want to do protest here, they even choose the day Sunday, Sunday is my day. So I was thinking, 2face say some people come meet am say make he broadcast am, so no be him sit down for him house com plan am, I for no vex. Who be the people wey come meet you?" he asked.

EVEN IF TUFACE HAS SOMETHING TO GAIN FROM THE PROTEST (no evidence yet), the suffering masses have much more to gain/message to pass across to the sleeping politicians through this protest biko.
