Davido To Be Sued For N7Million Dud Cheque For New Car (Photos)

Nigerian popstar, David Adeleke, better known as "Davido", has been hit with a fresh scandal. This time, the popular singer allegedly issued a dud cheque to an auto dealer for the purpose of paying the sum of N7.4million as a balance for a Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 he purchased. 

Documents showed that the auto dealer, Mr. Anekwu Chika Valentine of Prestige Autonet Limited, has already contracted a Lagos-law firm to assist him to recover the debt. 

A letter of instruction addressed to the law firm of W.K Shittu and Co., stated that the law firm will take 10 per cent of the sum owed by Davido if it is recovered. 

On February 10, Davido issued two Zenith Bank (account number 100424****) cheques of N10million and N1.4million respectively. 

However, the latter, which apparently was to pay a part of the N7.4million was not honored by Zenith Bank, where the auto dealer is also a customer.

Giving a dud cheque is a criminal offense punishable by a two-year jail term.

Man Kills His Uncle In Enugu Over Land Dispute. (Photos)

Gradually land acquisition is beginning to gain prominence because of its economic value amongst others but the same land usually serve as man''s final resting place as he will be committed to the earth following his death.The history of land dispute is always associated with evil and sometimes loss of lives and properties.

On that fateful day being 4th of march,2017 at about few minutes to 8pm at Ukpata Community of Uzouwani Local Government Area of Enugu state, Suspect identified as Daniel Ekemezie Alias Bakasi and a father of two and an acclaimed mathematics teacher with ukpata community secondary school in uzouwani Local Government Area of Enugu Coalcity state had allegedly left his house in Ukpata community and headed to his uncle''s place patrick Odoh now deceased and believed to be about 83 years.

According to the suspect,he had left to his uncle''s place with the intention to ensure that he is sent to the great beyond in other to settle their age long family land dispute. He disclosed that on getting to the place, he woke Patrick his uncle up and informing him that he has an issue of discussions with him and when he woke up, he now tied his mouth with cloths to avoid shouting and whisked him quietly that evening to Iyimkpafu/Ofiakputu forest at Ukpata where he tied Patrick odoh on the tree with rope and left him till 8th march 2017 when according to him, the victim was seen to have given up the ghost. 

He further disclosed that on noticing that the victim is now dead, he hurriedly buried him in a shallow grave and left.

The Enugu state police command through its operatives of the Anti Kidnapping Unit acting on intelligence information promptly nabbed the suspect who disclosed what allegedly transpired between him and his late uncle and claiming that they have been in an agelong land dispute.

Suspect is helping the operatives in their investigations as he has also guided the operatives in the recovery of the decomposed corpse of late PA Patrick from the shallow grave inside the forest on 4th April,2017. Suspect is regretting his evil act which he blamed as act of devil.

"I want to tell people to distance themselves from any issue of dragging of lands because it can lead to loss of lives and properties. I want the son of late Pa Patrick odoh to forgive me and even take the land. Am ready to leave the land for them. I am regretting my action now.I recently lost my wife and I am left alone with my two kids. God please help me" stated the suspect.

Suicide: How Naval Commander Shot Himself Dead In Lagos

The Fleet Commander, Western Naval Command, Apapa, Lagos State, Rear Admiral Daniel Ikoli, has allegedly shot himself dead in his residence in the Apapa area.

It was learnt that a service pistol, expended and live ammunition, were recovered at the scene by police detectives who visited the residence.

It was gathered that he lived with his house boy. His wife stays in Abuja, while his children are schooling abroad.

GURUSBLEND gathered that the commander, a member of the presidential committee investigating the $15bn arms deal, left his office on Tuesday around 1pm, on the grounds that he was ill.

Around 5am on Wednesday, the house boy reportedly heard a gunshot from his room. On getting to the spot, he found him dead and raised the alarm.

A source close to Okoli disclosed to our correspondent that he had been managing depression and an ailment for some time, adding that it was not impossible that he committed suicide.

The source, however, did not disclose the nature of the ailment.

He said,

“He was Commander, Nigerian Navy Ship BEECROFT, and was later appointed into the presidential committee that probed the arms deal. He was very lively and intelligent.

“But for some time now, he had been battling an illness and had lost weight. He had also become reserved lately, which was unlike him. He usually complained about the high dollar rate and unavailability of foreign exchange because he had children studying abroad.

“He left the office on Tuesday afternoon after complaining that he was not feeling fine. I was shocked this morning when I learnt he shot himself.”

Another source stated that bullets hit Okoli on the chest and he bled to death, adding that three expended bullets were found in his apartment.

He said, “The house boy said he heard a gunshot and was alarmed. He later went into Okoli’s room and found him in a pool of blood. His wife is in Abuja and his children school abroad. His aides usually leave after taking him home from office.

“Three bullets were seen in the room. No one can really tell what happened.

“He was a nice and intelligent officer. He was the one who spearheaded the renovations of BEECROFT when he was the commander.”

However, an officer, who claimed to have worked with the commander, said he usually expressed worries about the possibility of assassins going after him as a result of his membership of the presidential committee.

A competent source disclosed to GURUSBLEND that 17 rounds of 9mm live ammunition and three expended shells were recovered at the scene.

“A CZ 999 Scorpion Pistol, B/no. 17111 was also found. No suicide note was found. His corpse has been deposited in the Nigeria Navy Reference Hospital,” the source added.

The spokesperson for the Western Naval Command, Lieutenant Commander Chinwe Umar, said in a statement tagged, ‘Domestic Accident Involving a Naval Officer,’ that the cause of Ikoli’s death had yet to be known, adding that the police had commenced investigation into the case.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Olarinde Famous-Cole, said investigation had commenced, adding that the deceased had been deposited in a mortuary for autopsy.

Notorious Robber 'Ability' Rearrested After Escaping From Court In Calabar

A notorious armed robber by name, Ukame Ubong alias “Ability” has been arrested by the Cross River State Police Command, after escaping from court. According to the Commissioner of Police, Hafiz Inuwa, he said, the suspect is a native of Akwa Ibom state, he is an expert in snatching of Jeeps and other sophisticated cars across the state. The suspect was paraded alongside other criminal elements arrested by the police command.

“Ability and his gang members specialize in the snatching of so many Jeeps within Cross River state and beyond and some of these jeeps he takes them down to Akwa Ibom, Abuja to dispose.

Troops Arrest 2 Boko Haram Spies As Another High Profile Terrorist Surrenders

On Tuesday, 28th March 2017 at about 10.00am based on information 2 suspected Boko Haram terrorists carrying out surveillance on Kareto and Dangalti villages were apprehended by troops of 158 Task Force Battalion of 5 Brigade, Nigerian Army. Preliminary investigation shows that the apprehended spies were on recconaisance mission to facilitate possible attack on the communities by Boko Haram terrorists. 

Similarly, one Bulama Kailani Mohammed Metele from Tumbun Bera, a confessed Boko Haram terrorist belonging to Mamman Nur's faction of the terrorists group under the leadership of Abu Mustapha, apparently tired of the lies his commanders, surrendered himself to troops of 145 Task Force Battalion, 5 Brigade, troops at Damasak. 

It has been confirmed that the surrendered suspect,  Bulama Kailani Mohammed Metel, was a high profile terrorist as he is at Serial number 253 on the Nigerian Army's Wanted Boko Haram terrorists poster produced recently. He is currently undergoing further interrogation.
