Let's Talk About Cars: Mercedes Announces Two New Special Editions Of The G - Class (Photos)

According to Mercedes official website and some auto blogs, customers are looking for a more refined approach on the current Mercedes-Benz G-Class can now choose between two new special models.

Available for the G350d and G500, the first one is called simply Edition, and comes with starting price of $119,765 (37.7million Naira) and $132,632 (41.7 million naira) respectively, in Germany, tax included.
An assortment of exterior upgrades help differentiate both versions of the SUV, starting with the Designo Magma Red, Designo Mystic White and Obsidian Black color options, a set of 5-spoke AMG-made wheels wrapped in 275/55 tires, and Obsidian Black detailing for the three louvers on the grille, side mirror casings and spare wheel cover.

Inside, the designo manufaktur Edition G-Wagon adds black Nappa leather with red stitching, a matching AMG Performance steering wheel, black piano lacquer, red seatbelts, black leather grab handles in the roof liner and the special 'Designo Manufaktur Edition' badge on the center console. These add up to the Exclusive, Sport, and Chrome packages offered as standard for the two models.
Those looking to spend even more can go for the Mercedes-AMG G63 and G65 Exclusive Editions, which can be had from $177,803 (56million naira) and $313,542 (99million naira) respectively in Germany.

Boosting their visual appearance is an exclusive shade called AMG Monza Grey Magno, specific underguard made out of stainless steel, AMG sport strips on the side, rub strip inserts with a dark aluminum look and spare wheel that's color finished in the same shade as the rest of the car. Both vehicles sit on 21-inch rims, wrapped in 295/40s but while the G63 has light alloy rims, the more expensive G65 is fitted with ceramically-polished ones.
Standard appointments inside include the two-tone, leather-lined dashboard, AMG sport seats, and Nappa leather available in six colors. Buyers can also have the optional two-tone seats in Designo Nappa leather with a 3-color choice, AMG Carbon or Black Designo Piano Lacquer trim, Seat Comfort Package, red seatbelts, leather-clad grab handles in the roof liner, and a two-tone AMG Performance steering wheel, matching the seat colors.

Toyota has released several concept vehicles during 43rd Tokyo Motor Show, one of them is Toyota FV2 futuristic vehicle, the show will run from Nov 20 to Dec 1. This concept vehicle represents Toyota’s slogan “Fund to Drive, Again”, this is Toyota’s vision of our future mobility where the society values the joy of driving like never before. This project symbolizes Toyota’s efforts to contribute to future mobility while creating better vehicle that exceed expectations.

In the future, we believe our vehicle technology would have greatly progressed which also means we would experience enhanced driving experience. FV2 tries to connect the driver physically and emotionally with the vehicle, the more you use it, the more fun to drive the vehicle.


Toyota FV2 doesn’t use a steering wheel, instead, it is operated by the driver shifting his or her body to intuitively move the vehicle forward, back, left, or right. Can you imagine driving your car like this? It would be awesome experience. This futuristic vehicle features intelligent transport system technology to connect with other vehicles in the area and traffic infrastructure, it offers safe driving by providing a variety of safety information such as blind spots and advance warnings.

When you ride FV2, you grow with your vehicle. It’s one of Toyota’s visions to be able to develop driver-vehicle relationship of trust and understanding, just like a rider has with his/her horse. The artificial intelligence of this vehicle can recognize driver’s mood through his/her voice and facial expression, it will then accumulate driving history to suggest destinations. The augmented reality display on the windshield can be adjusted at will to create more intimate environment between vehicle and driver.

The New 2018 Volvo XC60 Is One Of The Safest Suvs Ever Made


We all know that Volvo and safety is like 5 and 6.. This 2018 Volvo XC60 is definitely not an exception. The sleek SUV was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show..

Even if the looks does not dazzle you, the almost absolute safety is irresistible.

The outgoing model was on sale for solid nine years while some car can’t go beyond 3 years.. it also became the bestselling premium mid-sized SUV in Europe with nearly one million units sold worldwide.

President and Chief Executive, Volvo Car Group, Hakan Samuelsson said, “We have a strong heritage in designing stylish and dynamic SUVs that offer the latest in technology. The new XC60 will be no exception. It’s the perfect car for an active lifestyle, and it represents the next step in our transformation plan. Volvo is so confident about its the new safety technology in the new XC60 that it’s billing the tech-laden SUV as “one of the safest cars ever made.”

This XC60 will steer itself out of harm’s way with the latest steer assist if braking alone won’t do the job. This helps avoid collisions. Oncoming Lane Mitigation also prevent head-on collisions.

Another amazing feature is the Volvo On Call app which works allover the world. You can use it to check fuel levels, lock and unlock your car and pre-heat or cool the cabin. This is an easy way to be in control of your car with your smartphone.

You can also open and close the boot with the wave of your foot if your hands are full… this is a cool safety feature although it’s no longer new. It comes with a CleanZone four-zone AC system, which removes harmful pollutants and particles “to deliver Scandinavian-fresh air on the inside.”

“From a commanding view of the road ahead in a beautifully appointed and calm cabin, to a safe, inspired and confident ride. We’ve paid particular attention to making life easier for our customers by providing them with the creature comforts and services that take the hassle out of everyday life,” he added. Volvo’s advanced semi-autonomous driver assistance system, known as Pilot Assist, can also be fitted to the XC60 as an optional extra. With Pilot Assist activated, the autonomous technology will take over steering, acceleration and braking on well-marked roads up to 80 mph.

The available engines are the award-winning T8 Twin engine gasoline plug-in hybrid which gives 407 horsepower.. accelerating from 0-60 mph in 5.3 seconds. As well as 254-hp T5 engine and 320-hp T6 engine with turbo and superchargers. If you are a diesel fan, you can opt for the 190-hp D4 or 235-hp D5 engines.

We will see the 2018 Volvo XC60 coming out of Torslanda Plant in Sweden in the 3rd quarter of 2017.
