The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Adeboye has come under lots of criticism following a video that surfaced online showing him asking that a member of his church donate a Billion Naira.

The video was said to have been recorded sometime ago when the church was looking to build its new auditorium.

As expected Daddy Freeze shared the video on his page reacting to it, he said its the highest form of duping, Its already enough that people are worried about paying tithes, and this just even adds to the fire, cos people will even be more scared, to pay offering, talk more of tithes.

Sale Of Nigerians In Libya, A Slap On Our Face – Nigeria Senate Finally Speaks

The Senate has begun the investigation of the alleged sale of illegal African migrants “mostly Nigerians” as slaves in Libya, which it described as a slap on the face of Nigeria.

The probe was based on a motion moved by Senator Baba Kaka Garbai (Borno-Central) at the plenary on Wednesday, entitled, ‘Urgent Need to Protect Nigerian Citizens from the Libya Slavery Auction.’

President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, said there was the need for Nigeria to do more to protect its citizens.

He said, “As a country, truly, it is a slap on the face of all of us if Nigerians can be treated in this manner. Like somebody said, Ivory Coast that is not as big as us is taking action to see how they can bring their own citizens back. We need to be doing similar things.”

"Troops of 3 Battalion, 22 Brigade Nigerian Army, Sector 1, Operation LAFIYA DOLE,  in furtherance of the ongoing clearance operations in conjunction with 22 Mobile Strike Team and some Civilian JTF, on  Tuesday, 28th November  achieved a remarkable feat," the statement reads.

During the operation, they were able to clear Boko Haram terrorists from their hideouts located at Kala, Jawara, Mada, Mika, Gakulba and Kutilax (Sanga), northern  fringes of Sambisa forest and  fringes of Kala Balge Local Government Area of Borno State.

Kaduna Fires 4,042 LG Workers `

The Kaduna State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Jafaru Sani, on Tuesday, confirmed the disengagement of 4,042 local government staff across the 23 local government areas of the state.

Sani told a news conference in Kaduna that the exercise was part of the ongoing restructuring of the local government system for effective service delivery.

He also said that the restructuring was designed to strengthen the local government system to carry out developmental projects and programmes.

The news was confirmed by a US government source, according to Reuters news agency.

Italian Policemen Arrested For Taking Bribes From Migrants

Six police officers who issued residency permits to migrants in return for bribes of several thousand Euros have been arrested, authorities said on Tuesday.

Four officers were jailed, two were placed under house arrest, and two “intermediaries” were also arrested,’’ the ANSA news agency said, quoting police investigators in Milan.

The policemen worked in the migration office of the Milanese police but, prior to their arrest, had already been moved to other departments as suspicions arose about their conduct.

The song, Manya which is popularly believed to be owned by Weezy, was actually released as a product of Mutay of Legendary Beatz.

The video of the song was originally put out on the account of Starboy rather than Wizkid, but now the video is not longer on the Starboy youtube account but on Mutay’s YouTube account.

Zimbabwean Govt Honours Mugabe, Declares His Birthday National Public Holiday

Former President Robert Mugabe’s birthday, Feb. 21, is now a public holiday after the Zimbabwean Government gazetted it as Robert Gabriel Mugabe National Youth Day, the state-controlled media reported on Monday.

The designation of the day as a public holiday comes after the government adopted the decision in August following intense lobbying by the ruling ZANU-PF Youth League.

The Muslim Rights Concern, MURIC, has said those patronizing “anti-Fulani sentiments do so because of their hatred for Muslims and their inability to tolerate Islam.”

MURIC said this while noting that those who speak evil of Fulanis are fully aware that more than 95% of the Fulani population is Muslim.

Nigerian Army to Set Up New Base in Kano's 'Deadly Forest'

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai, on Friday, said a Forward Operation Base (FOB) would be set up in the once dreaded Falgore forest in Doguwa Local Government Area of Kano State to address security challenges in the area.

The army chief announced this when he paid a visit to troops undergoing training in the forest, which once served as safe haven for banditry, cattle rustlers and kidnappers.

Buratai said that the forest would henceforth serve as one of the permanent training grounds for the soldiers.
